Tarot Talk: The Flow of Energy (Part One)

Image
Once consulted, the tarot reader sets out on a spiritual journey which many believe allows them to gather conclusive and detailed information concerning their client. According to Plato's definition of intuition, as the knowledge of a pre-existing truth, the tarot reader could be viewed as using their gift of intuition to pick out truths in a way that most people are unable to do or are unaware of their ability to do so. It is at this point that the reader's energy flows into the cards and they are directed to those cards which will play a relevant role in interpreting the situations and feelings of their client. At times, the reader may feel that they have been directed to stop shuffling and focus on a particular card or set of cards which they then use as the basis of their reading. There are certain cards with a universal identification, such as the Death card. For most people, this card would simply denote the death of a person. On closer assessment, however, the card...

Intuition is key to successful reading of the Tarot cards. The reader will, however, tune into other skills and abilities to determine how best to interpret the specific message intended for the client. These other skills could include elements of the aforementioned forms such as clairvoyance or clairsentience. Correct interpretation is often considered to require the use of intuitive notions to determine the meaning of the cards' symbolism. Some people claim they can better taste or smell during a reading, due to the flow of energy they are experiencing. Often, this is thought to indicate information relevant to the client, such as a favourite perfume, or meal of the deceased, if it should be the case that they are trying to contact people who have passed. Other people claim to experience a heightened audio ability, hearing 'voices' or 'messages' intended for the client which allows further clarity of interpretations during a tarot reading. In all these cas...

Tarot Talk: Psychic Ability and The Flow of Energy.

A 'psychic' is considered to possess the ability to sense things that ordinary people may not be aware of.This is different from intuition in that it takes special abilities, and the 'information' or 'senses' that the psychic receives do not come in subtle hints but in obvious messages that they can easily understand. Such abilities include: Clairvoyance: This involves the ability to see, visually, beyond the ordinary, without using the typical five senses to gather information. Clairsentience: This involves being able to sense and feel certain things that others are unable to, with similarities to empathy. Clairaudience: This involves being able to hear sounds, such as voices or music, that are not audible to other people. Claircognisance: This involves knowing something to be true without being able to back up your statement with physical evidence, similar to intuition but on a deeper level. Psychics need to have an ability to centre their energy...

Tarot Talk: Intuition and Energy in a Tarot Reading

The use of tarot cards in divination has been a gradually developing concept. Initially, the cards were made for general entertainment and only gained deeper interpretative meanings over long periods of time. This gives rise to the question of whether the cards were already filled with hidden meanings and people were simply unaware of them or to whether people later realised they could make use of the cards to further express themselves and gave them their own meanings and symbolism. The latter interpretation involves a person's natural ability for intuition and how the cards could enhance or provide an outlet for this skill. There are 'spiritual' powers or extra natural 'abilities' that people can acquire or possess which are relevant to the working of a diviner. These include psychic abilities as well as intuitive capabilities. The psychic world is a radical one with several gifts. Some may have extraordinary gifts of hearing, some of smell or taste, as w...
